In 2023, Chery emerged as South Africa’s second-largest SUV brand, capturing the hearts of SUV enthusiasts nationwide. Final sales figures revealed a remarkable surge in popularity: Chery sold a staggering 16,110 units, doubling its sales from the previous year.

Tony Liu, Deputy General Manager of Chery South Africa, expressed delight at this achievement, highlighting Chery's exclusive focus on SUVs without relying on commercial vehicles or entry-level cars to boost sales. The Chery Tiggo 4 Pro leads the pack, with 9,916 units sold in 2023, making it one of South Africa's top-selling passenger cars.

Expanding its lineup, Chery introduced the Tiggo 4 Pro LiT in manual and automatic variants, offering exceptional value with a starting price of just R279,900. Maintaining its commitment to customer satisfaction, Chery continues leading with its unmatched 10-year/1,000,000 km engine warranty, including value-added services like rim, scratch, dent repair, and take-me-home services under the Chery Cares package.

Innovating further, Chery introduced the Pro MAX models, including the Tiggo 7 Pro MAX and Tiggo 8 Pro MAX, boasting luxury and performance features that resonated with consumers. Chery established a new parts warehouse in Gauteng to support its growing customer base, ensuring seamless access to parts for dealerships and achieving exceptional claim approval and fill rates.

Beyond automotive excellence, Chery made significant strides in partnerships, serving as the official presidential vehicle partner of the BRICS Summit and the vehicle partner of the Lions Rugby Company. Embracing the spirit of giving, Chery collaborated with Reach For A Dream, the Lions, and UNICEF to bring joy and support to children facing adversity.
